Help Request Victory FWB Church (York)

We are asking any large congregation that may be able to help us by donating a used Mini bus or 12 passenger van as part of their home mission project budget. We have the means to operate one but insufficient funds to buy one make it a matter of prayer for us and send it up the flagpole to see if anyone will salute it thank you Victory FWB York

Mission North America Offering- November 24

Andy Moore (Brazil) After a decade of praying, laboring, building, and organizing, the First FWB Church of Juiz de Fora has transitioned into the hands of a Brazilian pastor. This local church has reached the measures of an autonomous church which are: self-governing, self-propagating, and self-supporting. The new pastor, Ricardo has previously pastored two FWB churches in this region.  He is a talented musician, singer, and an excellent preacher and teacher of the Word of God. He is also gifted in the area of administration and has great organizational skills. Our family will continue ministering in Juiz de Fora in a support role into 2020 to ensure a smooth transition. We are still excited and burdened to take the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to Brazil and Beyond. There is still so much to be done.Thank you for your prayers, partnership, and support that makes what we do here in Brazil possible. Every soul that is reached in this church from now until eternity will be due, in part, to your support and prayers for this ministry.  The Moores

Bobby Poole (Brazil) We baptized 4 this past Sunday and our attendance is picking up some, for which I praise the Lord. During the month of November, John (our youngest son and pastor of the First Church, Geneva and I started, here in Ribeirão Preto) will be in the States. It is a short visit but I hope we will be able to see many of you, who have prayed and supported the Poole family, working in Brazil, for almost 60 years. We will be traveling quite a bit, but will be in SC for about 2 days. Love to all our people in SC!

Carlisle Hanna (India) Is Currently Stateside. Please pray for the work in India as well as for the pastors and evangelists currently serving there; many amid daily persecution. Also pray for the next Friends of India meeting scheduled for this Friday.

David Aycock  (Brazil) Thank you South Carolina for your prayers and financial support. We are rejoicing over the spiritual growth that several in our church have manifested. We are preparing and training leaders to take on different roles in the church including Sunday School teaching. The Lord has given us progress in the construction of our Christian School. We hope to finish the construction soon and organize and train our staff and teachers for the 2021 School year (Feb-Dec). David and Annette Aycock

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite (Bulgaria) Pray for the various teens and pre-teens with whom we work through both church activities and English teaching as they share with us about their lives and struggles pray that we can be a source of guidance for them.  Continue to pray for international university students who are studying here in Pleven. On Friday night after our weekly Bible study with some of them, we spent a long time discussing some big questions that they had about the Bible. We are so encouraged by their desire to grow in their faith, and we feel truly privileged to be able to help guide them in this process! Also pray for the non-Christian students with whom we often interact. Pray that we will be able to shine the light of Christ into their lives, Pray that God would continue to give us wisdom as we seek to disciple the small group with whom we work in Odarne. We had challenged the group them to read through the gospel of Luke with us during the month of October. The last time we tried to discuss with them the things they had been reading, we sensed a hesitancy to share. We realized that difficulty in reading and understanding could be a factor that might be embarrassing to admit, so we had been exploring some other ideas that could help them become rooted in God’s Word. However, at our gathering on Saturday, they said, “So now that we’ve finished Luke, what book of the Bible are we going to read next?” It was so encouraging to know that they are taking seriously the challenge to read God’s Word for themselves even though it is a task that can be difficult and daunting!

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) Please pray as they are laboring diligently in the Alcala Church as well as for some new opportunities in the neighboring town. nmorgan@iminc.org

Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken) Please pray for Sis. Kris as she had a fall recently and broke her wrist.

Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) Today we will be going to a local nursing home to minister with some people from the Alpedrete Church.  Tim will be sharing a message, Kristi will lead the music, and we will be having a craft time with them.  Please pray that Tim’s message about planting seeds of peace will speak to their hearts about their need for God’s peace

Mirial Gainer (Japan) My cast has now been removed and I am doing Occupational therapy to regain full motion of my left arm, fingers and wrist. On Oct 8th, I sustained a crushing injury to my left leg. My surgeon will decide Nov 6th if he will do surgery on it since it is not healing properly. I will begin physical therapy for that leg in November also. Thank you for all the prayers for my mother and for me as we deal with different problems.

Dealing with Doubt

Have you ever found yourself doubting things that you never struggled with before? Satan sometimes comes in and sews seeds of doubt about things that are settled already in your heart. John the Baptist reached a point like this when he was in isolation in a prison. He sent messengers to Jesus and asked if he was really the Messiah. (Art thou He that should come?)

John’s doubt was not rational because he had already heard the voice of God the father saying “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased”. John’s doubt now that he is alone and in prison wasn’t rational.

Sometimes doubt can be helpful, especially in situations where someone is trying to deceive you. In this case Satan was trying to deceive John and make him doubt that Jesus was the messiah. The next time Satan comes in to make you doubt, just turn your doubt toward whatever the devil is trying to say, and remember the many ways that God has already proven Himself to be true!

Blessings in Jesus Dear Name!
