Missions

Andy Moore (Brazil) After a decade of praying, laboring, building, and organizing, the First FWB Church of Juiz de Fora has transitioned into the hands of a Brazilian pastor. This local church has reached the measures of an autonomous church which are: self-governing, self-propagating, and self-supporting. The new pastor, Ricardo has previously pastored two FWB churches in this region.  He is a talented musician, singer, and an excellent preacher and teacher of the Word of God. He is also gifted in the area of administration and has great organizational skills. Our family will continue ministering in Juiz de Fora in a support role into 2020 to ensure a smooth transition. We are still excited and burdened to take the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to Brazil and Beyond. There is still so much to be done.Thank you for your prayers, partnership, and support that makes what we do here in Brazil possible. Every soul that is reached in this church from now until eternity will be due, in part, to your support and prayers for this ministry.  The Moores

Bobby Poole (Brazil) I would like to ask our people to pray for our pastors (not only in Brazil, but around the world). Some are facing “Burn out” as the work load is heavy. Some don’t have health insurance for them self’s or their families. Most are the fruit of years of work on the part of our missionaries. Hold them up in your prayers.

Carlisle Hanna (India) Pray for Brother Carlisle Hanna as he continues in India.  He is working with the pastors, church planters, and evangelist as they seek to reach several villages.  They hope to establish churches among these people. Pray for those several young men who wish to attend Bible College. Pray for several who were baptized recently. Praise the Lord for the good VBS in South India. Please continue to pray the villages where Pastor Phillip who died recently worked which need pastors.  Pray that Brother Carlisle will be able to renew his visa in August without difficulty. Praise the Lord for souls coming to Christ!

David Aycock  (Brazil) We are experiencing unusually cold weather in what is known as Tropical Brazil. Yet, our hearts are warm with the presence, guidance and faithfulness of our Lord. We had the privilege of baptizing a couple who recently gave their lives to the Lord in salvation. Last month (July) I taught a course on “The Last Things”. We had fifteen students. It was very gratifying to see the spiritual growth in their lives. The construction of the school is going full force. We had to slow down our pace since our funds were very low. Recently though, the Lord has provided additional funds that has enabled us to pick up the pace significantly. Would you consider giving a special offering for this cause? Thank you for your prayers and financial support. David and Annette Aycock

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite (Bulgaria)

. Thank you for praying for the second camp that we attended last week. It was overall a very good experience and the kids who were there had a great time and learned a lot about the Bible and the Christian life. I was able to connect with the parents of one of the kids who live near us and who travel to Odarne every weekend.  Please pray that the kids who were there will carry the things they learned with them from the Bible (the book of Daniel) into their daily lives. Pray also for our friends who organized the camp as they went straight into another camp for older kids at the beginning of this week. Pray for T, my language tutor with whom I meet via Skype twice a week. He has recently expressed a desire to find something new in his life and has said that he wants to know joy instead of worry and stress. He also found out recently that the store where he works is being sold to another company and therefore is not sure if he will continue working there. T knows a lot about what I believe because he has helped me edit sermons and because we have talked about faith in the past. Pray that God will give me wisdom to say the right thing in the coming weeks to help T understand that he can find joy unspeakable and peace that passes understanding through Christ. Please continue to pray for our work with people in Odarne. While our time at camp last week went well overall, something was said by someone there that deeply hurt one of the moms that went with us. Pray that we will know how to help her forgive the person that said the hurtful thing and that she will be able to move on from the experience. Pray that God will use this situation for His glory and that people will understand the peace that is possible when we obey God and forgive others.  ***I wanted to let you know about a great opportunity to come to Bulgaria with the Hanna Project this winter. This is the second year that a team will be coming to help with the distribution of Operation Christmas Child boxes. Last year the team went to help the Provow family in Shumen and this year the team will be in half in order to help both in Shumen and in Pleven. If you or someone you know might be interested in participating please let me know or follow this link for more information (right now the website still lists the project as only going to Shumen). Shumen Bulgaria Christmas Shoebox Distribution | The Hanna Project

Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Please pray for the Deckard’s as they are stateside right now. mattdeckard.10@gmail.com

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) We are planning an outreach in a nearby town that has no evangelical church. We have submitted the paperwork to the town hall for official permission to host the event. Please be in prayer for the needed permission. Also, please pray for the upcoming Spain Field Retreat. It will be a chance to hear about the various ministries in Spain.nmorgan@iminc.org

Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken) We thank everyone for their continual prayers and support for the work here at Rejoice Fellowship. Please remember Bro Randy as he recovers from a recent stint.

Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) This Wednesday, Ana will arrive back in Spain after her time in the States for the Truth & Peace Leadership Conference.  We are looking forward to seeing her and hugging her neck after her being away for a month.  We will have just a little over a week until Alejandro will be heading back to the US to return to Welch for his second year of studies.  So, needless to say, we will be enjoying having BOTH kids here in Spain for the next week!  Thanks for your prayers for both of them as they have been and will be traveling during this time!

Well Equipped

Have you ever come into a situation that you were under equipped for? It’s not a good feeling. I have said on more than one occasion, “It’s better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it”. I believe the Lord kept that thought in mind when he provided his children, everything we need to live this life and to live it in a Godly manner.

When it comes to this life, if you are feeling underequipped and overwhelmed, just remember the things God has given us to help us thrive in this life.

  1. The Holy Spirit
    1. He is our Guide
      1. Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
    1. He is our Comforter
      1. Joh 16:7 ¶ Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
  2. The Son
    1. He is our Life
      1. Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
    1. He is the Word
      1. Joh 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2Pe 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Blessings in Jesus Dear Name!
