The South Carolina Women Active for Christ State Meeting will be held Saturday, March 17th at Fairview Free Will Baptist Church in Spartanburg, 2058 Chesnee HWY. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m.
We will be honoring Sherwood and Vada Lee for the many years they served as missionaries in Cote d’Ivoire and in our state as faithful leaders. Our scripture theme is from Joel 1:3, “Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation.” Bro. Sherwood was privileged to return to Cote d’Ivoire last spring and he was able to witness the many changes that have occurred since he left the mission work to return to SC.
Hotel Accommodations are: Comfort Inn and Suites, ($89), 154 Candlenut Lane, Spartanburg, SC, 29316, 864-814-2001 (mention Turning Point Church Rate). Holiday Inn Express and Suites, ($99), 161 Sha Lane, Spartanburg, SC, 29307, 864-504-3333, (mention church rate). Days Inn, ($69), 115 Rogers Commerce Blvd., Spartanburg, SC, 29316, 864-814-0560.
South Carolina has several students who have been accepted to serve this coming summer in different mission stations. An offering will be taken to help these students with their financial goals. We want to always be supportive of investing in the lives of the young people in our state as they seek to follow the Lord in these areas of service.
The SC WAC Retreat will be held September 7th and 8th at White Oak Conference Center in Winnsboro. Kristi Johnson will be our guest speaker and we have an exciting time planned for our ladies. We will have a ‘gift card shower’ for their family at the retreat. Gift cards may be purchased at Walmart, Target, and Restaurants. These will be greatly appreciated by the Johnson’s as they are home and will benefit them with their needs as Alejandro will be a freshman at Welch College this coming fall. Mark your calendars to attend the retreat and more information will be available at the state women’s meeting.
Beaver Creek Women Active for Christ District Meeting will be held at High Point Free Will Baptist Church in Lancaster on Saturday, March 3rd. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. Misty Todd will be our guest speaker.

**SPEACIAL UPDATE**Leonard Restoration Project Many have asked if we will still be doing the work for The Leonard Restoration Project since Bro. Mark passed away last week. Yes! Yes! and Yes! again. God’s word tells us Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

WMO Sunday is April 29th
Andy Moore (Brazil) The Lord continues to move here in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. We have seen an increase in families visiting our church recently, many who do not know the Lord. Help us pray for the power of God to convert souls. Also, we have a praise item. After two years of preparation and paperwork, our church passed the fire department´s rigorous inspection. Our next step is to register our building at the town hall and we will finally be able to cover our terrace for some much needed Sunday school rooms and a fellowship hall.
Bobby Poole (Brazil) I tell people that working for the Lord is not always “a Sunday School Picnic”! There were hard times, but our FWB people stood with us in prayer, support and love! I praise the Lord for allowing Geneva and me to represent Him and our Church people, here in Brasil!
Carlisle Hanna (India) Please remember Bro. Carlisle as he is currently in India. Also please be much in prayer for the upcoming Conference as an estimated 10,000 people plus will be attending!
David Aycock (Brazil) Two people have come to Christ since the beginning of the year. Flavio is a realtor and Danielle is in the Brazilian Air Force. Please for their spiritual growth and that they will have courage to stand for Him among their family members and friends. Our second daughter Breeana and her husband, JD (the Webbs) have been cleared to arrive the first of May to work in the Barbacena area. Pray for them as they make preparations. We are happy to announce that we have restarted the construction of the Christian School. We hope to finish the building in August (2018) and start the Brazilian school year in February of 2019. We need $70,000 to finish this project. Would you pray that God would meet this need? Would you consider giving a special offering for this cause?
Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite- Pray for the Women’s Retreat that will take place in on March 16-18 with ladies from our works in Svishtov, Varna, and Pleven. Pray that many would chose to attend, and that their lives would be impacted by this time! Pray for our friends the two ladies from West Virginia who will be traveling to Bulgaria to join us for the retreat. One of the challenges we may be facing soon is not enough space for our monthly gathering. One possible solution which we have explored is a separate meeting for the English speakers in the group (people from other countries who live in the city for various reasons). Please pray that God will give us wisdom in planning this and carrying it out. Another solution that we are exploring regarding space issues is finding some kind of meeting place. This will be a big step for us and we want to pray very carefully about the decision. Please pray that God will give us wisdom in this matter.
Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Greetings from Sunny or Rainy (depending upon the time of day) Ecuador. We want to first say thank you all for praying for us as we are in language school! The Lord certainly is blessing here as we continue our time in full time study! He is also opening doors for us to share with our language teachers as well. Just this week I, Matt, have had the opportunity to talk with my professor about the church, persecution, and various other topics in the New Testament. Also, next week we, along with two teammates also in language school, have the opportunity to have our professors in our home for Thanksgiving to share this wonderful part of our culture with them. Please pray that God would produce fruit from these opportunities. email@example.com
Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) We are rejoicing that the church has closed on the sale of the property. They have attempted to sell the property before with no success. We praise God for his provision of a buyer. Please pray with us for a new location for our church to rent. Please continue to pray, as well, for us as we travel and share about the amazing things God is doing in Spain. Pray with us that we will receive the needed support for us to return to the field in June.
Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken). God is continuing to bless us here at Rejoice Fellowship. We had a family join the church the last Sunday in February. We are in Revival this week through Wednesday night with Dr David Crowe and The Parsons. We would love to share our ministry with your church. If you would like to schedule us to come on a Sunday Night and share our ministry please contact us either email: firstname.lastname@example.org or cell 803-306-4429.
Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) Thanks to everyone for your prayers for Tim’s dad, George Johnson. He is still in the ICU, but is now breathing on his own with some help from a BiPAP machine. We also want to ask you to pray for several people in the Alpedrete Church who are facing some difficult physical problems this week: one lady lost the baby she was carrying and another man, who recently had a heart attack, was taken to the ER with complications. We’re thankful that the Great Physician can heal both broken bodies and broken hearts.
