Andy Moore (Brazil) This new year got off to a great start. We had a watchnight service at our church with 40 people in which we prayed into the new year. We are preparing this month for our first baptismal service since moving into our new building and we have recently started a new Sunday school class. Thank you for our prayers as we head into 2017!
Bobby Poole (Brazil) In the last three weeks I have counseled three couples. They are Christians but are feeling the pressures of making a living and paying the bills. Brasil has an unemployment rate of 12% and a very large percentage of those working are unregistered and have no benifits, such as health and retirement. In my 3 cases they began to take our their feeling on one another. Please pray for these three couples and their children. I told them that if one wanted to argue, let the other just request that they pray together about the problem. One couple told me that praying is working! Praise the Lord!
Carlisle Hanna (India) is currently stateside. Please pray for efforts to secure another visa.
David Aycock (Brazil) We are grateful for the way God is working here in Barbacena. In the month of November we baptized five people. They invited family members and friends to watch their baptism. We had many first time visitors. Fernando came forward two Sundays ago wanting to give his life to Christ. Pray for his spiritual growth. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. Please continue to pray and consider giving toward the construction of our Christian school. We need your help! David and Annette
Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite – Last week I told you about T being sent to the hospital for observation because of high blood pressure. The doctor has told him that he needs to stop lifting weights in order to bring his blood pressure down. This has been hard for him because it is something he enjoys very much. I believe that T has a lot of leadership potential. Pray that I can help him to understand that whatever success he seeks should be for the glory of God.
Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Are stateside and raising support to go to Ecuador to work in the Christian school, Jungle Kids for Christ. To schedule services contact Matt at email@example.com
Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) We are so excited that the mayor’s office has given our church a wonderful location to hold the community workshops. Fliers have been made and dates and times established. Please be in prayer for the final preparations for the workshops which will begin January 10. Please pray God will even now prepare hearts. firstname.lastname@example.org
Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken). The Home Mission Board was able to purchase a used mobile home for the Valandingham’s to live in. Pray for them as it is being set up and renovated.
Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) We are thankful for many opportunities that we had during the Christmas holidays to share about Jesus in various towns. (Alpedrete, Moralzarzal, Guadarrama, and Collado Mediano) Pray that we will be able to continue developing relationships with the people we met, and that doors will open for more testimony to be shared.

What did he weep over?
Before the tomb of Lazarus- Possibly at the unbelief of his friends- Joh 11:35 Jesus wept.
Over Jerusalem – Lu 13:34 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!
On the cross- Lu 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
