Andy Moore (Brazil)  The Lord continues to give us opportunities to reach people.

We have had 15 visitors come to our church services in the last two weeks.  Continue to pray that the Lord will work in people’s hearts and that His Word will not return void.  Please pray specifically for Fabiana and Jéssica, two ladies that were saved in our church last year, but who are now struggling spiritually.

Bobby Poole (Brazil) Sometimes you don´t receive too many compliments, but this week, I received a note from a lady in the Church, saying, “Bro. Bobby, you have made a difference!” I spoke Sunday night on our responsibilities to witness for our Lord Jesus. I said, “every one of us can make a “difference” in our Church, our homes, our work, the schools and contacts on the streets and stores”. This lady, knowing the work that Geneva and I have put into the Marincek Church, it was a blessing to just read, “your lives have made a difference!”

Carlisle Hanna (India) From Pastor Stephen: Milly’s oldest sister, Helen, died recently here in Charleston.  She was 65.  She had surgery for cancer down at the Medical University Hospital.  We knew her condition was serious but no one expected her to go so quickly.  Her siblings were all here (there are five of them and Milly is the middle one).  Her funeral was at Northside Church.  Their parents are in India her father is 93 and her mother is 87.  Please pray for them in Rahuri, India.

David Aycock  (Brazil) Thank you South Carolina for your faithful support and prayers. In the month of September we are having a special drive to raise $13,000.00 to finish our Christian School building. Please consider a special offering for our project.  Please pray for Marcos and Jeane. We are having a weekly Bible study with them. They have many hurdles to overcome. We are trusting the will allow the grace of God to bring salvation and victory in their lives. May God continue to bless your ministry as you faithfully serve Him, David and Annette – Barbacena, Brazil

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite – This Sunday October 22nd, we will host our first monthly “gathering” in our house. The theme will be “Is there more to life than this?” We have invited several people and so far we have had a few people say that they plan on coming (one family actually was worried that they had missed it because they thought it was last Sunday). Please pray that God will help us to draw together the people whom he wants to be there, that Christians who attend will be encouraged and/or challenged, and that the unbelievers who attend will hear a clear presentation of the Gospel message.

Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Are in Ecuador and are getting settled in. Pray for them as they transition into ministry there.  mattdeckard.10@gmail.com

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) Praise the Lord with us that we had no empty seats this past Sunday. In fact, we were one seat short and we had a few of our regular attendees absent. The church has decided to put the building up for sale in order to look for a space larger to accommodate everyone. Pray for the sale of the building, wisdom in decisions, and a new location that will meet our needs. nmorgan@fwbgo.com

Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken).  Today he received the results from the mass they removed during his surgery, and we are praising the Lord there is no cancer! Continue to pray for the church in Aiken as they move forward for The Lord!

Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) We are thankful for your prayers for our ministry here in Spain.  This week we’ve been quite concerned about the region around Barcelona succeeding from Spain.  We just saw on the news that they have signed a “Declaration of Independence” from Spain, and then immediately signed a suspension of it.  We don’t know exactly what that will mean for the country, but we are glad that we trust in a God who already knows what will happen during this time of uncertainty.  Continue to pray for unity in the country of Spain.

Mirial Gainer (Japan) Continues to care for her mother. Please remember them both in prayer

* Sister Faye Miles (Wife of Rev. Tony Miles) her tumors have increased in size a little and one is effecting her right kidney. They might have to put in a stint but Dr. is concerned it might not be possible to get to area. He said nephrostomy tube might be what he will do and she wears a bag on her leg. Pray that next couple of treatments will begin to shrink tumors. We still need prayers for God’s Will in our lives.  We take one day at a time. Bro. Tony Miles

* Rev. Paul Reid (Beaver Creek) From Sis. Mary. Paul is doing better at this time. Please continue to remember them in prayer.

*Rev. Bennie Turner (Eastern Conference) continues to receive regular dialysis please continue to remember him in prayer.

The Disciples of Christ that saw his lifeless body hanging there upon the cross did not quite understand all that was going on. From there perspective He at that time was supposed to restore an earthly Kingdom unto the Nation of Israel. All they could see was their hopes and plans for liberty, hanging upon a tree in a bloody mess. But, what the disciples could not see from the foot of the cross God, could see from above it. We often tend to forget that our perspective is limited to say the least. We, looking back to that event understand through scripture that his purpose was to come and pay the penalty for man’s sin, and three days later everything was going to change. So with all that being said we really ought to quit acting like children who only understand how bad the medicine tastes, but do not understand that it is the medicine that helps to heal the bigger problem. We ought to pray for a proper perspective in all things, so that we will be ready and qualified to give unto every man an answer of the faith that lies within us
