Andy Moore (Brazil) Our church here in Juiz de Fora, Brazil was priveleged to host the annual, regional fellowship of Brazilian FWB churches. For most, it was the first time they had seen our new church building. There were more than 150 participants from the region. Our hearts were stirred by the preaching of God’s Word and through the God honoring music.
Please continue to pray for the movement of FWB to expand throughout Brazil.
Bobby Poole (Brazil) The nation of Brasil is facing so many problems it is hard to know where to start with prayer requests. Corruption is and has been the main news items, now for some time. Our president was impeached. The present president´s doings are being looked at very closely. Corruption is throughout the nation. The Mayor of our city is in jail, along with some City Council members. They are talking about millions of dollars and Reais that have been used to buy privledges! Our unemployment is somewhere between 13 and 14 % of the work force that were registered. There are thousands that are not working but without registration, so were not counted in the 13 to 14% above. These problems have affected our Churches. Offerings have declined. Some Church personal have had to be let go. It is hard to support their families. It is sad to drive through town and see the number of stores that have “rent” or “for sale” signs.
Carlisle Hanna (India) Bro. Carlisle was granted a 1 year visa. Glory! Please continue to remember the work there in Inida
David Aycock (Brazil) Thank you for your prayers! We completed the two Bible College level courses – Church History II and How to Study the Bible – we offered for this semester. It has been gratifying to see the interest and spiritual growth our students manifested during the courses. We are preparing a young man João Paulo and a married couple Fernando and Paula for church membership. Pray for the salvation of an eighty year old man named Carlos who in his latter years has lost family and home due to wrong choices he has made throughout his life. We continue to build the Christian School building. The Lord has provided thus far. Would you consider giving a special offering for this cause? May God continue to bless, David and Annette
Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite – Please pray with us as we continue to make plans in preparation for evangelism and discipleship efforts that we plan on starting at the end of summer. These plans include trying to start Bible studies in several of the “neighborhoods” of our city, concentrated evangelism and outreach efforts in a few nearby villages that have no evangelical churches, efforts to connect with international students who attend the medical university in our city, and English clubs for kids and adults. I have recently started spending time during some evenings at a local basketball court near our apartment. There are quite a few guys of various ages who spend time there. Please pray that I can get to know several of them and have opportunities to share the Gospel. Men can often be one of the hardest groups to build relationship here in Bulgaria. A group of teenagers from Michigan arrive today and will spend their time with the Trifonov family in the coastal city of Varna. Please pray for safety of travel and that the work they do in Varna will encourage and assist the church there in its efforts to reach the city for Christ.
Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Are in Ecuador and are getting settled in. Pray for them as they transition into ministry firstname.lastname@example.org
Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) Thanks so much for your prayers for the growth of the Esperanza Church. They are currently in need of supplies for Sunday School as well as more room for their people to meet!
Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken). Will be having some heart tests run today and tomorrow. Rejoice fellowship in Aiken has been experiencing a great summer so far. We had VBS in June and it was a great success. We had 20 – 25 kids from K4 through 5th grade. We have had two new families join us since VBS. Thank the Lord for His blessings as we our faithful to His call. Pastor Randy
Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) Tim & Kristi Johnson (Spain) recently held a baptism service with a time of testimony. Please pray for these new believers as they begin their journey of faith.
Mirial Gainer (Japan) Continues to care for her mother. Please remember them both in prayer
* Sister Faye Miles (Wife of Rev. Tony Miles) her tumors have increased in size a little and one is effecting her right kidney. They might have to put in a stint but Dr. is concerned it might not be possible to get to area. He said nephrostomy tube might be what he will do and she wears a bag on her leg. Pray that next couple of treatments will begin to shrink tumors. We still need prayers for God’s Will in our lives. We take one day at a time. Bro. Tony Miles

It’s A Brain Problem
Ro 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God
Have you ever been in a situation where you can’t seem to win for losing? Not a good place to be in right? Well honestly this is where man finds himself. He cannot please God while in the flesh. Now I know that you probably are thinking well that’s no good because I live in my flesh…
But for us as Christians we are not to operate in the flesh we are to operate in the spirit. Because it is a spiritual thing it does not come naturally.
- Consistently seek him
- Ac 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
- Completely savor him
- Php 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
- Cheerfully serve him
- Jas 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
