Andy Moore (Brazil) Our church here in Juiz de Fora, Brazil was priveleged to host the annual, regional fellowship of Brazilian FWB churches. For most, it was the first time they had seen our new church building. There were more than 150 participants from the region. Our hearts were stirred by the preaching of God’s Word and through the God honoring music.
Please continue to pray for the movement of FWB to expand throughout Brazil.
Bobby Poole (Brazil) I found out since last month that I am going to be a Great-granddaddy! John, our youngest son, is pastor of the First FWB Church and they have a wonderful mininstry with “Couples”. John said that during this year and up to March next year, they are expecting 11 babies to be born into the Church family. Pray for these young couples and for the Church as they minister to the couples and to the babies, as they grow up in the Church. In Marincek, we had a Bible Club meeting on the 22an and had 32 children. Geneva is missed by all as she had a nack to get things rolling to reach out into our community. We moved to Ribeirão Preto in 1962 and since then the city has grown at the rate of over 10,000 people per year.
Carlisle Hanna (India) Bro. Carlisle was granted a 1 year visa. Glory! Please continue to remember the work there in Inida
David Aycock (Brazil) Thank you for your prayers! We completed the two Bible College level courses – Church History II and How to Study the Bible – we offered for this semester. It has been gratifying to see the interest and spiritual growth our students manifested during the courses. We are preparing a young man João Paulo and a married couple Fernando and Paula for church membership. Pray for the salvation of an eighty year old man named Carlos who in his latter years has lost family and home due to wrong choices he has made throughout his life. We continue to build the Christian School building. The Lord has provided thus far. Would you consider giving a special offering for this cause? May God continue to bless, David and Annette
Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite – In one week, a team of young people from the Kirby FWB Church in Michigan will be arriving to assist the ministry of our teammates the Trifonovs by doing various service projects around the city of Varna. Please pray that God will use their time in Bulgaria to help the church in Varna make connections with new people and that souls will be saved as a result of their efforts.
Matt/Hailie Deckard (Ecuador) Are in Ecuador and are getting settled in. Pray for them as they transition into ministry firstname.lastname@example.org

Bearing The Armor
1Sa 14:1 ¶ Now it came to pass upon a day, that Jonathan the son of Saul said unto the young man that bare his armour, Come, and let us go over to the Philistines’ garrison, that is on the other side. But he told not his father.
In the days of Samuel the prophet we hear of kings and armies in the protection of Israel. One such character we are introduced to is the armor bearer. What and invaluable but often unrecognized person this is. Jonathan’s armor bearer is mention ine the passage for today and even a statement by him but to my knowledge we don’t get his name. We still have armor bearers today in the church and they are often just as unrecognized.
Today with the help of the Lord I want to speak about the calling of GOD’S people to be armor bearers.
The armor bearer was assigned to a king, or officer.
- He trusted his officer. 7 And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart.
- He assisted his officer. 13 And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him
- He followed his officer. 13 And Jonathan climbed up upon his hands and upon his feet, and his armourbearer after him 1Co 11:1 ¶ Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
- He protected his officer. V 13 b and his armor bearer slew after him.
The people as a whole benefit from being an armor bearer.
- The faithful. They were encouraged. 20 And Saul and all the people that were with him assembled themselves, and they came to the battle: and, behold, every man’s sword was against his fellow, and there was a very great discomfiture.
- The Fearful. There fear was turned to Strength.. 22 Likewise all the men of Israel which had hid themselves in mount Ephraim, when they heard that the Philistines fled, even they also followed hard after them in the battle.
- The Fallen. Those that had deliberately fallen into the hands of the enemy were emboldened to fight as well. 21 Moreover the Hebrews that were with the Philistines before that time, which went up with them into the camp from the country round about, even they also turned to be with the Israelites that were with Saul and Jonathan.
