For most, it was the first time they had seen our new church building. There were more than 150 participants from the region. Our hearts were stirred by the preaching of God’s Word and through the God honoring music.
Please continue to pray for the movement of FWB to expand throughout Brazil.

I will be participating in a kids event with some volunteers from Child Evangelism Fellowship and a scouting club here in the city. Please pray that through my participation I will be able to start some relationships with unbelievers with whom I can share the Gospel. On Saturday, the monthly men’s gathering will take place in Svishtov. Please pray that there will be a good turnout and that those present will be encouraged as they study God’s Word together. Pray that any unbelievers who attend will surrender their lives to Christ as a result of what they learn. One of our biggest goals throughout the summer will be to connect with people so that we can invite them to some sort of meeting (English club, Bible study, etc…) in the fall. Please pray that as we get out into the city throughout the week God will lead us to people who will be interested in our work here in Bulgaria and our faith.

How to Plow Straight Rows
Lu 9:62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
It is spring of the year and many of my readers will have gardens at this time. I remember as a young boy about 8 or 9 my father put me behind something he called a “one row mule”. It was an awkward contraption with a 5hp Briggs and Stratton motor. It had one large wheel in the back and one smaller wheel in the front with a plow in the middle. And if this machine doesn’t sound awkward enough, all of this was attached to a set of handlebars. The driver was to let the clutch out and hang on until the plow reached the end of the row. My father would go to where he wanted the row to end up and drive a wooden stob down. His words to me were, “Son keep your eyes on this stob until you get to it, and don’t look away. So I set out, behind this contraption. Half way through the row, I realized something…I was doing a real good job. So as pride began to get the better of me I turned around to look behind me, to see just how good a job I was doing. When I got to the stob, my father was shaking his head, because right at the part where I turned around to look, the row was crooked. Today that moment still speaks to me when I read Luke 9:62. Keep your eyes fixed upon Jesus and don’t turn around to see how good a job your doing, keep moving forward and you’ll get the prize at the end of the row.
