Just Bear With Me!
Have you ever had an important point to share, but your listeners were hanging up on little things that don’t matter? That seems to be just what The Apostle Paul had happening to him. In his letter to the Corinthians he had been trying to share with them a sincere spiritual admonition, first by letter and then later as he intended face to face. But some thought of him as though he had walked in flesh, and would not regard his admonition because of their own notions of him. It bothers Paul enough that he made the following statement to them 1 Corinthians 11:1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly; and indeed bear with me.
No matter how well seasoned we are and good at our jobs. As long as we are in this body of flesh we are prone to mistake upon mistake. We will need others to bear with us in our folly. We ought to do the same with others.
1Thess. 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
