2016   Leadership   Conference  |Developing Young Leaders

Antioch, TN—The 2016 Leadership Conference will be held Monday and Tuesday,           December 56,  at Nashville Airport Marriott  Hotel.  The conference will address the    theme  “Developing Young Leaders.” As corporations and businesses struggle with    an aging demographic, the church finds itself facing          the same challenges. Many elder       ministers are passing off the scene, and there is a great need for the younger generation       to find its place in ministry and the denomination.

Andy Moore (Brazil)  The Lord continues to lead and bless the ministry here in Juiz de Fora, Brazil.  Our church will have its 7th homecoming on the 20th of November.  We are trusting the Lord for a packed house and most importantly for His presence and power in the service.  Please help us pray that the planning, preparation, invitations, and special effort will result in the seed of the gospel being sown in the hearts of the Brazilian people so that fruit will be produced for His glory.  – The Moores

Bobby Poole (Brazil) Our Annual Business meeting of the Marincek Church will be on  Nov. 26 (moved from the 03 of December). At this point we do not have a candidate to become our Pastor. Pr. Lucas felt that he could not do the Church justice, by working full time at the Post Office. Please pray that the Lord will direct the Church in finding the right person to take my place. The choir of the First Church will present their Christmas program at the Marincek Church on December 03.

Carlisle Hanna (India) Continue to pray for the approval of Bro. Carlisle’s Visa. Pray for Naxalbari Church and for those to whom witness and booklets have been given.

David Aycock  (Brazil) The Lord has greatly blessed His work here in Barbacena, Brazil. During the months of October and November we are offering two College level courses through our local Seminary (Church History and Evangelism). We have 15 people who are signed up. The Lord has opened the door for us to begin preparations to open an Elementary Christian School as a ministry of our Esperança Church. We have started the building project. Please prayerfully consider how much you and your church could contribute toward this project (designate to Aycock Christian School Building Fund). We will give more details in our upcoming newsletter.

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite – Every day, we feel like we see more and more a gift of evangelism in our 6 year old Anna Grace. She has already had quite a few conversations with some of her classmates about church, Jesus, and how to pray. Pray that God would continue to open doors for her (and us) to connect with her classmates and families from school. You never know what could happen through the faith of a child! We praise God that Jonna has had a good start to her preschool as well–and that we see potentials for relationships with the nice people who work there too.

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) Our two oldest girls started school recently. We praise the Lord for a good day and great teachers for both. Our youngest will begin school next week. Please pray for her as she goes to school for the first time. Pray she will adapt to the school and learn Spanish quickly. Please also pray for Neil as he preaches this Sunday. nmorgan@fwbgo.com

A Thanksgiving Recipe

Ps 100:1 ¶ <<A Psalm of praise.>> Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.(KJV)

So much of the bible is about offering thanks unto the Lord. His nature and character is declared to be good, no higher authority than himself. Some forty one times in the scriptures we hear the phrase “for his mercy endureth forever”. God is worthy to be thanked. And the truth is… we need to be thankful.
