2016 Leadership Conference |Developing Young Leaders
Antioch, TN—The 2016 Leadership Conference will be held Monday and Tuesday, December 56, at Nashville Airport Marriott Hotel. The conference will address the theme “Developing Young Leaders.” As corporations and businesses struggle with an aging demographic, the church finds itself facing the same challenges. Many elder ministers are passing off the scene, and there is a great need for the younger generation to find its place in ministry and the denomination.

Andy Moore (Brazil) “The Lord has been so good to us in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. In the month of July, we had several special events in our newly constructed church building. We had our first wedding, our first VBS, and our first celebration of a 25th wedding anniversary. Due to the special events, we had more than 400 people pass through the doors of our church in July. Please continue to pray for the gospel to penetrate the hearts of the Brazilian people.”
Bobby Poole (Brazil) Pray for Pr. Lucas Vieira, a graduate of our Seminary/Bible Institute, who, since June of this year has been preaching each Sunday and teaching the Adult SS class. Our Church Board has talked with him about taking on the position of Pastor of the Marincek FWB Church. Lucas has a full time job, working for the Post Office, where he has a manager´s position. He is afraid that working full time job, he will not be able to fulfill his responsibilities at the Church. Pray with us, that he will have peace in his heart about taking the Church, if this is the Lord´s will for him. The Church elections will take place on December 03, 2016.
Carlisle Hanna (India) Continue to pray for the approval of Bro. Carlisle’s Visa
David Aycock (Brazil) The Lord has greatly blessed His work here in Barbacena, Brazil. During the months of October and November we are offering two College level courses through our local Seminary (Church History and Evangelism). We have 15 people who are signed up. The Lord has opened the door for us to begin preparations to open an Elementary Christian School as a ministry of our Esperança Church. We have started the building project. Please prayerfully consider how much you and your church could contribute toward this project (designate to Aycock Christian School Building Fund). We will give more details in our upcoming newsletter.
Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite -Pray for us as we explore possibilities for work within the city. There are several schools and we hope that there will be an opportunity for me (Jonathan) to teach English part-time at one of them. In the future, there may also be the possibility of informal English clubs.
Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) Our two oldest girls started school recently. We praise the Lord for a good day and great teachers for both. Our youngest will begin school next week. Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) Tim/ Kristi Johnson (Spain) Tim/Kristi Johnson (Spain) Recently the Alpedrete Church was given permission to use the local Cultural Center on November 12. For the past several years, we’ve been asking City Hall to allow us to have our Christmas musical there, and the answer has always been NO. But we finally got a YES. While it’s not exactly the best date for a Christmas program, we are excited for this opportunity to publicly share a Gospel presentation here in Alpedrete. Pray for our church as we finalize preparations for this event, which will be a musical based on truths from the Bible. People of all ages from our church will be working together on songs, stage decorations, invitations, etc. We only have about six weeks to pull everything together, so there will definitely be some busy days ahead.

Endeavoring to keep the Unity
In a Peanuts cartoon Lucy demanded that Linus change TV channels, threatening him with her fist if he didn’t. “What makes you think you can walk right in here and take over?” asks Linus.
“These five fingers,” says Lucy. “Individually they’re nothing but when I curl them together like this into a single unit, they form a weapon that is terrible to behold.”
“Which channel do you want?” asks Linus. Turning away, he looks at his fingers and says, “Why can’t you guys get organized like that?”
Eph 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
