Fall Youth Retreat; …PRICE IS REDUCED!! $100 per Person
Theme “GLOW IN THE DARK”
Theme Verse 1 Peter 2:9
We are excited to announce plans for our fall youth retreat “GLOW IN THE DARK” with Preacher Wesley Campbell. It will be back in MYRTLE BEACH this year on Friday November 4th through Saturday November 5th, 2016, at Garden City Chapel and Retreat Center…near Garden City Pier. We have finalized the details of accommodations and the events for Saturday. The price WAS $115 … NOW IT IS LOWERED TO $100 per person, and will be more affordable to our youth and adults! This includes lodging, 2 meals, t-shirt, and the events on Saturday. Please share this with your youth workers and youth groups and your churches, the price is for all adult chaperones and all youth. AGES 12-18. We need you to go ahead and start getting your youth names and t-shirt sizes together and we will need each deposit by October 21st, 2016! The deadline for the deposits is needed for everybody, in years past waiting on the deposits and the paper work until you arrive at the retreat has delayed the scheduling and getting the t-shirts. Again, we need all information and deposits by October 21st, 2016! The applications/registration forms and more details will be posted on our scfwb.com website under youth ministries by the end of The week.. I have included all the basic information you need to know to share with your chaperones and youth from your churches, if you have any questions please contact Preacher Teddy Rabon at (843)-520-6407. We are looking forward to a GREAT time in the Lord, please be praying for our retreat and try your best to send your young people. “GLOW IN THE DARK 2016”

SCFWB Announces partnership with Protect My Ministry
Proper Screening of Church employees and volunteers can help to both protect your ministry from problems and defer liability, but it can be a difficult and confusing process. That’s why the SCFWB State Association has teamed up with Protect My Ministry, to provide churches and Organizations which are members of the State Association to get background checks on their employees and volunteers at group prices.
Go to http://www.scfwb.com/back-ground-checks/ and follow the prompts, to start screening today.
It is recommended that you give them a call BEFORE signing up: 800-319-5581. There are several technical and package options which can be helpful and it’s always easier to get it right the first time than it is to fix it later.
Andy Moore (Brazil) “The Lord has been so good to us in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. In the month of July, we had several special events in our newly constructed church building. We had our first wedding, our first VBS, and our first celebration of a 25th wedding anniversary. Due to the special events, we had more than 400 people pass through the doors of our church in July. Please continue to pray for the gospel to penetrate the hearts of the Brazilian people.”
Bobby Poole (Brazil) I arrived back in Brasil on Sept. 4th (Geneva and mine, 56´s wedding anniversary). I caught a cold the last couple of days in the States, but am feeling much better now. I would like to thank each of you for your kindnesses and love showed to me, during my short visit to SC. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done, here in Brasil. Pray for our Churches and pastors. Pray that I can be a blessing to them as I try to visit as many as possible. Brasil is passing through some hard times, politically and financially. But the Lord is working in hearts and lives. Our FWB Churches, have and are “making a difference!”

Pray that all of our recent converts will persevere insight of pressures placed on them by family members and acquaintances. We are planning a baptism service for the month of October. Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support. David and Annette

The gifts of God are given Freely.
Ro 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Far too many Christians have secluded themselves into a world of their own creation where there is no enjoyment. The mindset is the more things I abstain from, the more Holy I become. Now obviously Im not speaking of anything sinful. I also realize the dangers of being too attached to “this present world.” What I am speaking of though is the enjoyment of the things God has made readily available. Paul wrote to the Corinthian church who was confused on what those things were.
I Co 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
I believe some of those things are as follows.
- The wonders of Creation
- The warmth of Fellowship
- The ties of Family
- The blessings of Helping others
How great it is when we can enjoy any combination of these.
