SCFWB Announces partnership with Protect My Ministry

Proper Screening of Church employees and volunteers can help to both protect your ministry from problems and defer liability, but it can be a difficult and confusing process. That’s why the SCFWB State Association has teamed up with Protect My Ministry, to provide churches and Organizations which are members of the State Association to get background checks on their employees and volunteers at group prices.

Go to http://www.scfwb.com/back-ground-checks/  and follow the prompts, to start screening today.

It is recommended that you give them a call BEFORE signing up: 800-319-5581.  There are several technical and package options which can be helpful and it’s always easier to get it right the first time than it is to fix it later.

 Missions

Andy Moore (Brazil)  Thank you for being a part of this exciting journey of faith through your prayers, giving, and encouragement. One day in heaven, you will be able to meet Luiz Carlos and Rachel, and many more like them and know that you had a part in their journey to the Father’s house.

Bobby Poole (Brazil) Please pray for Bro. Bobby as he is currently stateside.

Carlisle Hanna (India) Please be in prayer for many in the Bihar province as flooding has caused much damage throughout the region including some FW Baptists. Though the waters are receding damage still remains. Also pray for the approval of a Ten year visa for Brother Carlisle.

David Aycock  (Brazil) Annette and I are grateful for your prayers and support through the years. David Please remember their ministry in prayer.

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite Pray for us as we settle into our new apartment in our new city. Over the next couple of weeks we will need to get our daughters ready for school, find furniture, learn our way around the city, explore opportunities for teaching English, and start to meet people with whom we eventually hope to share the Gospel.–

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) We praise the Lord that our pastor José Manuel has been hired at a nursing home. He is thrilled with the provision of the Lord for his family, but also for the opportunity for ministry this position provides. We are also thankful for the opportunity Neil had to preach a sermon series from Nehemiah. Please continue to pray for the ministry of the church and the relationships we are building here. Thank each of you for being people with “a mind to work” to help us minister in Spain.

Everyday With Jesus…. A Great Idea

  1. Means each day with Jesus
  2. This implies consistency. We need men and women of god to be consistent in their walk.
  3. Spurgeon said “A man’s life is always more forcible than his speech. When men take stock of him they reckon his deeds as dollars and his words as pennies. If his life and doctrine disagree the mass of onlookers accept his practice and reject his preaching.”
  4. Means one day at a time
  5. We ought not be worrying about tomorrow.
  6. Someone once said “Worry is fear’s extravagance. It extracts interest on trouble before it comes due. It constantly drains the energy God gives us to face daily problems and to fulfill our many responsibilities. It is therefore a sinful waste. A woman who had lived long enough to have learned some important truths about life remarked, “I’ve had a lot of trouble — most of which never happened!” She had worried about many things that had never occurred, and had come to see the total futility of her anxieties.”
