Missions

Andy Moore (Brazil)  We are praising the Lord for His presence and blessings on the ministry here in Juiz de Fora.  Our new church building has encouraged many new visitors to attend our services.  We have also started offering again free English classes on Saturdays which is creating a lot of contacts for evangelism.  Please remember our family in your prayers as we start the 16th year of our ministry in Brazil.

Bobby Poole (Brazil) The Lord is working in the Marincek Church (Ribeirão Preto, Brasil). We are praying for revival, our attendance is picking up, we have two young people to baptize and a wonderful spirit of love and fellowship. Pray for the young pastor that is preaching two Sunday nights a month.  This week, a person suggested that he may be the one that the Lord has, to become pastor of the Church. Please pray with us.

Carlisle Hanna (India) Please remember Bro. Carlisle as he is in India. The South India Conference was a great success as they honored 65 years of faithful service! They have broken Ground on the New Life Church!

David Aycock  (Brazil) Thank you for your prayers. After a five week Bible study, Roberto got saved today (Monday). Please pray for his spiritual growth. Thank you for your prayers and financial support. You made it possible!

Jonathan/Amy Postlewaite Please pray for us as we travel to Tennessee and then on to West Virginia, where we will stay until the end of June. Pray also about a bill that was recently put forward in the Bulgarian parliament. The bill is meant to target radical Islam, but because of its language it would affect the efforts of Christian missionaries as well.

Mirial Gainer God continues to work in hearts in Japan. Josh and Alicia Crowe live and work in the Tokyo suburb of Iruma. They enrolled their daughter Ruby in one of the many schools in the area. At a recent meeting of the mothers, Alicia began to talk with a woman named Sayuri. Sayuri was my roommate in hospital and my friend when I lived in that area. Only God could put Ruby in the same school and same class as Sayuri’s daughter so that the witness to her and her family could continue. They even live in the same neighborhood!

I look forward to an opportunity to share more of what God is doing in Japan. If you’re interested in my coming to share in your church or women’s group, I am also available for the WMO services if anyone needs me. Please contact me at 507-208-5808 or let Bro Chris know (chris@scfwb.com). Thanks for your faithful financial and prayer support.

Neil/ Mandi Morgan (Spain) We are praising the Lord that the mayor has not only approved the workshops that were requested, but he has also asked if they can be done in two different locations in the city. We are also excited about a possibility to meet with several university students during the summer. We are scheduled to have our first meeting next Monday. Please join us in praying for both of these outreaches. Please also pray for God’s provision for Pastor José Manuel and his family. He was recently laid off from his job as an electrician.

Randy/Kris Valandingham (Aiken) Have seen 7 people saved recently, and have 9 people to baptize. Please continue to pray for Rejoice FWB Fellowship as they minister in Aiken SC.

ANONYMOUS Boldness

A man called up the local armory to get a report on the number and status of the weapons and vehicles. A private answered the phone and said, “We’ve got 3 jeeps, 4 tanks, 500 rifles, and a ton of ammo. Oh, we also have two Cadillacs for the fat generals.”

There was silence, then this response, “Private, do you know who I am?”

“No.”

“I’m General Westin.”

“General, do you know who I am?”

“No.”

“See you later, fatty.”

Don’t let the criticism of anonymous persons or even known persons get you down. We stand before the Lord and unto Him we rise or fall. Keep on serving the God, and being faithful to his call.

Ro 12:21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. (KJV)
